Deadly Eating Disorders
Anorexia happens when a person becomes
too concerned about their weight and refuses to eat. Someone suffering from
this sickness frequently tries to hide it by throwing away eat without anyone's
knowledge, slicing it into small pieces to make it appear smaller, or lying
about missing whole meals. Although lowering your fat intake is good, lacking proteins, vitamins,
minerals, water, and other nutrients might cause your body to lose muscle mass
and weaken.
Bulimia is another common type of
eating disorder. While an anorexic appears to be dropping weight rapidly,
someone suffering from bulimia may or may not be losing weight. Bulimia happens
when a person lacks the discipline to avoid certain foods and instead vomits or
uses laxatives after meals to cleanse their body. This, like anorexia, can
deplete the body's essential nutrients while also causing issues in the
digestive system, esophagus, and mouth, which are not designed to endure
frequent vomiting.
